LiveSmart BC supports your climate action efforts at home by providing information, resources, programs and government funding.

Rebate on the purchase of qualifying Energy Star appliance, glass, lighting, etc. Plus buy back programs for old refrigerators, and other appliances.

Rebate on Energy Star appliances and switching to Natural Gas.

If you use CMHC insured financing to buy an energy-efficient home, purchase a house and make energy-saving renovations or renovate your existing home to make it more energy-efficient, a 10% refund on the Mortgage Loan Insurance premium, and a premium refund for a longer amortization period may be available.

A 5-year fixed closed mortgage that rewards customers for making smart choices for their home and the environment. If you’ve bought, plan to buy or already own a home with energy efficient features, you can qualify for a BMO Eco Smart Mortgage.

Make energy-saving renovations to your home by leveraging the LiveSmart BC Efficiency Incentive Program. This personal loan is at a prime+1% rate for up to ten years.

Vancouver homeowners can qualify for up to $7,000 in government rebates, and borrow up to $16,000 through Vancity at a 4.5% fixed interest over ten years to complete select home energy upgrades.
