Your Table as a Temple
Eating is an action we take more than 3 times a day. Can you picture where your food comes
from? How many people helped in the
process? How many miles the food has
traveled? How we choose to consume
speaks volumes about our values and beliefs.
In this program we will explore the science of where food comes from and
Jewish values related to food production, preparation and appreciation.
Listen to the Animals and They Will Teach You.
Tradition teaches that if we had not received the Torah, we
could have learned all there is to know by studying the animals. In this workshop participants will explore animal
traits and their relationships to non human animals, discover about the
interconnectedness of all life, and learn about Jewish laws and ethics around
prohibition of cruelty towards animals.
Here I am Different. Exploring Prayer in our Natural Surroundings
Celebrate the glory of Creation and our role within it, by
taking your prayer service outside.
Utilizing the natural imagery embedded in Jewish prayer, as well as
stories, meditation, prayer activities and communal sharing, participants will
experience prayer, G-d and the natural world in a whole new way.
An Ancient Tradition, A New
Dilemma. Exploring Our Jewish Environmental Values
Through text, discussion, drama, arts & crafts and more
we will explore ancient Jewish ecological and environmental teachings and ask
how they are applicable to the decisions faced by us today. This overview of environmental issues and
ethics will help introduce any group to personal and communal environmental
responsibility.
Stories That May Someday Change The
World, Maybe Even Today

Jewish teaching and tradition. These stories have been used for generations to
explore our beliefs, values, culture and community. Sci-fi, suspense, drama, humor and more ever

methodology, we will learn stories of Creation, personal revelation, comic
remediation and communal salvation.
